Been thinking about this, when a player is called up and plays out his elgability. starting the next year he starts his contract, whether you called him up or not. so what is the incentive to keep a called up player on your MiL roster. none really. I propose that if you bring up a MiL player to your ML roster he loses a year of elgability if he surpasses the rookie requirements while on your roster.
ex at the end of year if he had 120 ab's, x number of starts or 25 IP in relief counting toward your final total
just a thought for rewarding those that do not bring up a player.

Realized last night that I never responded to this comment/idea.
I personally like this idea and it has been added to a list of things we will need to hold discussion and votes on this offseason. I would expect discussion and voting to be held in December so if we forget to bring it up then please remind us.
